Bill
is the sales and marketing guy at Viscosity. His responsibilities
include management of the CNH and Monroe accounts, an activity
not for the faint of heart. He usually manages to get two
orders every time he visits these accounts: "Get out
and Stay out!"
Bill also spends a lot of time in the field
training and working with dealers and customers. This is the
enjoyable part of the job as opposed to working with the “suits."
It also gives him ample opportunity to marvel at the workings
of the North American air transport system.
Bill joined Viscosity Oil in 1987. Prior to
that he had worked for Tenneco, Allied Signal and Exxon, where
he held positions in engineering, planning, purchasing and
marketing, as well as sales positions in methanol, polymers
and fuel products. His life as a corporate gypsy took him
and his family to New Jersey, Wyoming, Virginia, Texas and
Illinois. In 1999, his wife pointed out to him that Chicago
had far too much cold and snow for her and they moved once
again, this time from Chicago to South Carolina. This move
has made his wife, Doreen, very happy, and has made Bill a
much smarter guy in her eyes.
Bill holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the
University of Virginia, and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson
University. He has been married over three decades and has
two daughters who have grown and moved out on their own. His
time at home is spent with his wife, two golden retrievers,
gardening, trips to the mountains, watercolor painting and
his model RR.
