I
started out in the lube business in 1965 with Humble Oil (Exxon)
in Detroit after graduating from Notre Dame with a BS in Chemical
Engineering.
That first position was as a sales engineer
calling on Ford. I joined Viscosity in 1967 doing industrial
sales (very unsuccessfully) and some product development.
I became Technical Director in 1969 with the responsibility
of working with the engineering center at IH as well as product
development for both the automotive and industrial product
lines.
In 1978 I assumed additional responsibilities
for production operations which included our industrial products
blending plant in Chicago and our network of contract blenders
and packagers. While the way we perform our operational functions
has changed significantly over the years, our primary focus
is still to effectively serve our customers.
My wife and I live in Hinsdale, IL, and have
a son- and daughter-in-law living in downtown Chicago.
